What is a Wine Window?

A Wine Window (Buchetta del Vino) is a small, arched opening in a building façade used in the past to serve wine directly to customers. They date back to the 17th century and are unique to Florence and Tuscany.

How do I use the map?

Can I still buy wine through a Wine Window today?

Only a few are active today. Most are historic and no longer in use, but some have been reopened by local businesses – check the map for active ones.

Most are visible from the street, but some may be located on private property or behind closed gates. Please be respectful when visiting.
